Your pets dental health is essential to a long happy and healthy life. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) estimates that by age two, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show some form of periodontal disease. Untreated dental infections can lead to more severe conditions that may decrease you pets lifespan. Some of these conditions include, heart valve disease, kidney disease, decreases immune system, not to mention the chronic pain and source of infection that comes along with dental disease.

*Dental x-rays are essential to dental cleanings. A tooth crown may look healthy but the root of the tooth may be hiding some disease i.e, root abscess or tooth re-absorption. Dental x-rays allow our veterinarians to know about the overall dental health of your pet both above and below the gumline.
